The crisis in your gut
Your gut microbiome is pivotal to your physical and mental health and yet it is under threat in the same way that our environment is. Why is that and what does it teach us about our locus of control?
Finding steady ground in unsteady places.

The crisis in your gut
I'm not sure if I made this clear enough in the audio from today's podcast, or not, but the lessons I draw from this idea (the mirroring of the climate crisis inside and outside) are that the things we do to address our degrading microbiome are actions that contribute towards the kind of change that helps address environmental degradation. Also that the changes this will have on our sense of health and wellbeing, we are better equipped to deal with the stress and anxiety that issues like climate change provoke in us. And this is where we find our steady ground, from which to work.
I found this really interesting. Despite thinking I’d looked into the subject of our micro biome, it helped me put this into a wider context, eg climate change, and gave a new perspective.
